Introduction to Oracle Application Testing Suite

Oracle Application Testing Suite is a testing suite release by Oracle after it acquired emprix and decided to make an entry into the field of Testing Tools arena. Its biggest objective as I see would be to exploit the testing capabilities for enterprise manager and the various B2B applications oracle ships to its customers.
Oracle entering the testing tools is more of a differentiator rather than a cost cutting motive.
Functional and especially Load testing is something that i believe oracle has acquired this tool for and it plans to take this to the extreme programming level.

However, having said that seeing the recent developments, I believe this will be "the next generation testing tool" for almost all the applications that oracle ships.

There's so much to exploit. Java is the ocean and Oracle just made it look deeper by enhancing this tool to explore and exploit Java as a testing language.

Have a good day folks!

OATS - Oracle Applications Testing Suite 12.2.0.2.0

Oracle has released a new version of OATS, ATS, Open Script name it as you wish.

Bye Bye 9.x series. Oracle seems to have decided to change the way it should market OATS. It's moved from ATS 9.3 to a 12.X. release format.

It seems oracle has lined it's version with the Oracle Applications R12 releases and  now versions it as 12.1.0.2.0.

Watch out guys and gals. This tool is developing fast and has salient features to talk about.

Keep your Java basics right and you should be ready to rock by exploiting the features that Open Script with the help of Eclipse as an IDE provides.

Yes! you guessed it right. OATS uses Eclipse as an IDE a common platform called Open Script.
A single user interface to both Load Testing and Functional Testing.
You name it and you have it at one place and in one tool.

Get your fingers itchy. I plan to introduce a couple of know hows, FYI's and Did you know as time progress.

Stay tuned till i post again.

Cheers,
Good day.
